Another IMPORTANT fuel tank point to watch for

748/916/996/998, watch the rubber bung in the airbox that the tank front mounting peg fits into. Someone told me that they had one split and fall out. You got it, fell into the throttle body. Didn't get into the engine although this might have been preferable as instead it caused the throttle stick open by holding the throttle plate open. Not a nasty ending thanks to the kill switch. Check yours today.
